Another Big Deal for WinTFC as LaSalle Soccer Club joins the competitive program

After announcing mergers with the Amherstburg Soccer Club and the Windsor Soccer Club, Windsor TFC (WTFC) is proud to welcome the LaSalle Soccer Club’s (LSSC) competitive program to the TFC affiliates family. As with the former announcements, this agreement will allow LSSC’s competitive program named Stompers to merge with WTFC and be recognized as Windsor TFC Stompers in local league competition.

As Essex County Soccer Association’s (ECSA) district program, WTFC gets a huge boost from the LSSC merger and raises the total number in its competitive talent pool to over 600, and close to 3000 in the partner clubs grass roots house leagues.

“We have always supported the District Club, and now are excited to be a part of WinTFC along with the other clubs and make the regional program accessible to all of our players and coaches”, said Brian Miles, president of LSSC. “We look forward to being a part of the vision that serves everyone in the community” added Miles.

“Many of our players and coaches have come from LSSC, and this merger only solidifies the level of cooperation to move the program forward”, said Vancho Cirovski, president of WTFC. “We are thrilled to have the LSSC staff, coaches and players on board as we work together and emerge from the Covid experience to build a program for the next generation” added Cirovski.

The merger is designed to ensure WTFC, as the district club, has a significant talent pool for player selection for its travel program, while the local clubs under the WTFC umbrella benefit from technical training, coaching development and competitive event programming, such as camps, tournaments and festivals.
